Officially, there are two San Jose Earthquakes players on international duty at the moment, as defender Marcos Lopez has joined the Peruvian national team for their World Cup qualifiers over the next week in South America.
Peru are scheduled to take on Colombia on Thursday in Lima and then Ecuador on Tuesday in Quito. They’re only four games into qualification but Peru have plenty of work to do, as they sit second-to-last in the table with just one point earned so far. Colombia is also off to a slow start, but Ecuador are currently third, with three wins out of four to date.
