The San Jose Earthquakes kept busy on the squad building front this week, adding two more players to their 2017 roster with the signings of defender Marvell Wynne and midfielder Tommy Thompson to new multi-year contracts.
Wynne, who will be entering his 12th MLS season, was a bright spot for the Quakes the past two season since arriving via the MLS Re-Entry Draft. The 30-year-old defender played more minutes (5,531) during that span than any other Quake besides goalkeeper David Bingham. He has featured in 301 games since turning pro with the New York Red Bulls in 2006.
