Damir Kreilach scored in the 75th minute as Real Salt Lake continued its home dominance in Sandy, Utah.
Daniel Vega finished with five saves for the Earthquakes (13-11-5, 44 points), who have lost a season-high four in a row on the road overall and fell to 0-3-3 in their past six trips to Real Salt Lake.The Quakes entered the match a point ahead of RSL and fourth in the conference.
