Reno 1868 FC picked up their earliest regular season win in club history after coming from behind to defeat Austin Bold FC 2-1 on Saturday afternoon at Greater Nevada Field. In their previous two seasons in the USL Championship, Reno were unable to win a match until their fourth home match.
In Saturday’s matchup against Austin Bold FC, Reno conceded a goal in the 14th minute and trailed 1-0 through the remainder of the first half. Reno’s comeback began with a goal scored by forward Brian Brown in the 46th minute to level the match at 1-1. Brown struck again in the 78th minute when he headed a ball crossed in by defender Brent Richards into the back of the net, securing all three points for his team.
