SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes earned three points at Avaya Stadium Saturday night with a 2-1 win against Columbus Crew SC. Earthquakes forwards Marco Ureña and Chris Wondolowski both tallied goals to secure the victory. The Quakes have now lost only one of their last 14 MLS matches at home dating back to October of last year (8-1-5).
Wondolowski scored his ninth goal of the season and is now just one shy of extending his league record of scoring at least 10 goals in a season to an eighth consecutive. Earthquakes Homegrown midfielder Tommy Thompson earned his third MLS assist on the tally.
