Recap: Quakes 1, Galaxy 1 | Barrett's 90th minute header secures the Quakes a point at Stanford Stadium

STANFORD, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes scored another late goal to draw 1-1 against the LA Galaxy Saturday night at Stanford Stadium in front of a California Clasico-record 50,816 fans. Forward Chad Barrett’s header in the 90th minute, assisted by Shea Salinas, kept the Quakes undefeated at home this season.

The Earthquakes were forced to shuffle the lineup early in the match with center back and captain Victor Bernardez departing due to an injury just eight-plus minutes in.

San Jose nearly opened scoring in the 11th minute. Midfielder Matias Perez Garcia broke away from several Galaxy defenders, sprinted downfield and slotted the ball to midfielder Alberto Quintero, who took a hard shot that was saved by LA goalkeeper Brian Rowe.
