LAFC got on the board in the 21st minute through Diego Rossi and took a 1-0 lead into halftime. The SoCal side would add four in the second half before Hoesen scored two minutes into stoppage time, volleying a cross by Espinoza through the arms of goalkeeper Pablo Sisniega.
The Quakes will now return to San Jose to play a match at Earthquakes Stadium for the first time since March 7 this Saturday, Sept. 5 against the Colorado Rapids. The match kicks off at 7:30 p.m. will be broadcast live on NBC Sports California, KNBR 1050 and1370 KZSF.
