QUAKES NOTES: Chris Wondolowski nears record, Anibal & Harold return from World Cup

Late Drama
The latest installment of the California Clasico saw the Quakes erase a 3-1 deficit to earn a 3-3 draw. San Jose has trailed in all seven of the Clasicos at Stanford, but lost just once (4-1-2).

Closing the Gap
In the Earthquakes' last MLS match against the LA Galaxy, forward Chris Wondolowski scored his 139th and 140th career goals. He is now just five goals away from tying Landon Donovan's record for all-time MLS goals (145). Wondolowski is also tied for the third most goals against LA in MLS history with 12, and third in penalty-kick goals with 24 (Jaime Moreno 44, Landon Donovan 31).
