ORLANDO, Fla. — Florian Jungwirth scored two goals late for the Earthquakes, but the scores couldn’t prevent a 3-2 road loss to Orlando City on Saturday.
Jungwirth scored in the 78th minute and 90th minute for San Jose (1-3-2) as it is now winless, including three losses, in its past five games. The Quakes, who fell behind 3-0, haven’t picked up the full three points since a season-opening win. The Earthquakes have won just one of their past 13 road contests.
Quakes coach Mikael Stahre started Chris Wondolowski a week after bringing the MLS’ second all-time scoring leader off the bench.
