SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes, MLS WORKS, San Jose’s Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services (PRNS) and the U.S. Soccer Foundation will unveil a new mini-pitch at Arena Green Park in San Jose Thursday afternoon. The mini-pitch is the second of 2018 for the Quakes, who earlier this year unveiled a mini-pitch at Hornet Field in Alameda. The Quakes have now supported the construction of three mini-pitches in the Bay Area since 2016.
What: The mini-pitch will offer children in San Jose a safe place to play, while providing a soccer environment that encourages unstructured play with local communities and supporting the continued growth of the game in North America.
