SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that defender Guram Kashia has obtained a U.S. Green Card and no longer occupies an international slot on the club's roster. The transaction drops the Quakes from eight internationals to seven.
Kashia, 32, has made 21 starts in 23 total appearances for San Jose since signing with the club in June of 2018. He has made 11 appearances, including nine starts, so far this season.
San Jose currently has 30 players on its roster, seven of whom count as internationals: goalkeeper Daniel Vega; defenders Harold Cummings and Marcos Lopez; and midfielders Magnus Eriksson, Cristian Espinoza, Carlos Fierro and Judson.
