SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that the club has traded defender Shaun Francis to the Montreal Impact in exchange for the Impact’s second round pick in the 2018 Major League Soccer SuperDraft. The Quakes will receive $50,000 in General Allocation Money in 2018 instead of the SuperDraft selection if Francis achieves certain predetermined benchmarks during the remainder of this season.
“We would like to thank Shaun for all of his contributions here in San Jose,” said Earthquakes general manager Jesse Fioranelli. “He was a consummate professional and we wish him the best of luck in Montreal.
