SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes will take on Eintracht Frankfurt of the German Bundesliga at Avaya Stadium on Friday, July 14 at 7:15 p.m. It marks San Jose’s first match against a German club since the team’s first-ever international friendly on May 26, 1996 against Bayer Leverkusen.
Eintracht is currently in third place in the Bundesliga with a 10-5-5 record, trailing only Bayern Munich and Red Bull Leipzig.
“Eintracht Frankfurt is a terrific club to welcome to Avaya Stadium this summer,” said Earthquakes President Dave Kaval. “We have previously hosted teams from England, Spain and Mexico, and are excited to give our fans an opportunity to see a top club from Germany.
