SAN JOSE, Calif. – San Jose Earthquakes defender Marcos Lopez has been called to the Peru National Team for a pair of 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
Peru will first face Paraguay on Oct. 8 (4:30 p.m. PT) at Defensores del Chaco Stadium in Asunción, Paraguay, before hosting Brazil on Oct. 13 (5 p.m. PT) at Estadio Nacional in Lima, Peru.
Lopez, 20, has tallied two assists in seven MLS appearances (six starts) so far this year. He has made two prior appearances for the Peru National Team.
