SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes announced today that the club has acquired Brazilian defensive midfielder Judson Silva Tavares on a season-long loan, using Targeted Allocation Money, with an option to buy from Tombense. Known simply as Judson, he will occupy an international roster spot on the Quakes’ roster, pending receipt of his P1 Visa and ITC.
“Judson has always been a very important player for his clubs,” said Earthquakes head coach Matias Almeyda. “His tireless work ethic and physical style of play are evident in the games I’ve watched. His ability and willingness to cover a lot of a ground will make him an invaluable piece of our defensive structure next season.
