Major League Soccer has switched the time of its All-Star game July 28 at Avaya Stadium in order to avoid a broadcasting conflict from the final day of the Democratic National Convention.
Kickoff for the Thursday game against Arsenal FC is now scheduled for 4:30 p.m., 90 minutes earlier than originally announced, the league said. The league also announced the eligible all-star players picked by the media for fan voting. Media members selected goalkeeper David Bingham, defenders Victor Bernardez and Marvell Wynne, midfielders Fatai Alashe, Simon Dawkins and Alberto Quintero and forwards Chris Wondolowski and Quincy Amarikwa as the eight eligible San Jose players.
