SAINT PAUL, Minn. — The San Jose Earthquakes were denied their seventh straight result on Wednesday night, falling 3-1 to the host Minnesota United at Allianz Field.
The Quakes had gone through the month of June unbeaten. But in the battle of two MLS playoff contenders, Minnesota United held serve at home.
