SAN JOSE -- Chris Wondolowski's weekend just keeps getting better.
Coach Jurgen Klinsmann named Wondolowski to the U.S. roster for Copa America on Saturday -- a day after the Earthquakes announced they gave their star forward a two-year contract extension. Now all the team's captain needs is a victory Sunday against rival Los Angeles Galaxy in Carson. The Quakes (5-3-3) also will lose Simon Dawkins for their final two games before the Major League Soccer break for the Copa America, which is being played in the United States for the first time to mark the 100-year anniversary of the South American championships.
