Former San Jose Earthquakes Academy goalkeeper and current Burlingame Dragons net-minder JT Marcinkowski has helped the United States U-20 National Team claim some hardware.
As one of four participants in the U-20 Men’s NTC Invitational, the United States steamrolled its way to a perfect 3-0-0 record by defeating Costa Rica 2-0 on June 29, Panama 4-0 on July 1 and Japan 2-1 on July 3. The Americans outscored their opponents 8-1.
Marcinkowski split time with Cal goalkeeper Jonathan Klinsmann, son of U.S. Men’s National Team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann, in the tournament. Marcinkowski, the reigning Big East Freshman of the Year, started and played 90 minutes in the shutout victory over Panama.
