The San Jose Earthquakes’ American duo of Jackson Yueill and JT Marcinkowski officially made the cut for the U.S. U-23 Men’s National Team, as both were confirmed on the roster this week for the upcoming Concacaf Olympic qualifying tournament in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Both players had been taking part in a training camp with a larger U-23 squad under coach Jason Kreis, and while Yueill seemed like a sure thing, Marcinkowski also survived the cut and now has a good shot of actually playing in the tournament, too.
The U.S. will open Olympic qualifying Thursday against Costa Rica, then will play the Dominican Republic on Mar.
