The San Jose Earthquakes will put their three-game winning streak to the test on Wednesday, when they host the Seattle Sounders at PayPal Park.
Both teams are on a roll to start the season, with only the Sounders ahead of the Earthquakes in the standings, Seattle yet to lose a game so far this season. Most recently, they beat their archrival Portland Timbers 2-1 in Portland, so I’d say they feel good and already seem like they’re in a rhythm.
But the Quakes are doing pretty well too, most recently grinding through a road game against Real Salt Lake in which it looked like they were doomed to lose for much of the match and found a way to win 2-1, Chris Wondolowski stepping up once again for his hometown team.
