The San Jose Earthquakes weren’t sure if they were going to play this one, but they are indeed scheduled to take on LAFC Wednesday at Earthquakes Stadium, with the 2020 MLS regular season winding down.
This game was thrown into doubt after three LAFC players tested positive for coronavirus last week. It seemed like that would mean the game would need to be cancelled, but apparently everyone is comfortable for the level of risk and so this game will proceed.
The Quakes are coming off a big 2-0 win over Real Salt Lake a week ago that bolstered their playoff prospects this season, a brace from Chris Wondolowski delivering him MLS Player of the Week honors.
