The possible re-return of the San Jose Earthquakes is here, after one of the most tumultuous weeks in the most tumultuous year in MLS history, as they are scheduled to play the first California Clasico of 2020 against the LA Galaxy at Dignity Health Sports Park Saturday night.
The Quakes were supposed to open the latest phase of their season at home Wednesday against the Portland Timbers, but those two teams, plus eight others around MLS, conducted a wildcat strike and refused to play, to bring attention to and protest racial injustice in the United States.
