The San Jose Earthquakes are back on the horse again Wednesday evening, as they get set to take on the Colorado Rapids, this time at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.
San Jose has reached what many hope is a nadir in their season, coming off their worst-ever home loss Saturday and winless in seven games since the local return to play of this weird 2020 season. Both head coach Matias Almeyda and GM Jesse Fioranelli retain their positions after Fioranelli’s uncharacteristic postgame press conference at the weekend in Almeyda’s place, so we’ll see if the talk of turning things around right now actually happens or if the tough times remain ahead.
