According to the Audi Player Index, Earthquakes midfielders Fatai Alashe and Anibal Godoy are ranked as members of the top 10 defensive midfielders in MLS this season. San Jose is the only team in the league to boast two players on this list.
Godoy, currently playing in his second year with the Quakes, is ranked as the second-best defensive midfielder in MLS behind Seattle's Osvaldo Alonso with a score of 350. So far in 2016, Godoy has started and played in 19 games with San Jose, tallying one goal and two assists.
Alashe, the club's fourth overall selection in the 2015 MLS Super Draft, is ranked as the tenth-best defensive midfielder in MLS behind New England's Scott Caldwell with a score of 185.
