SAN JOSE, Calif. – The San Jose Earthquakes are aiding relief efforts following the mass shooting that killed three and injured 15 others at the Gilroy Garlic Festival on Sunday.
“We’re extremely heartbroken by Sunday’s tragic event and want to offer help in any way we can,” said Earthquakes Chief Operating Officer Jared Shawlee. “We’re deeply saddened by all acts of violence, but Sunday’s shooting in Gilroy hits particularly close to home.”
A silent auction will be held in the 7UP Epicenter fan zone during Saturday night’s match against Columbus Crew SC, benefitting the Quakes Foundation.
