VANCOUVER, British Columbia — Danny Hoesen and Nick Lima scored for the Earthquakes, but they had to settle for 2-2 draw in Vancouver on Wednesday night.
The Whitecaps’ Yordy Reyna scored in the 64th minute to even the score after the Quakes, denied a second consecutive win, forged a 2-1 lead after falling behind early.
Reyna created the deadlock as he headed Marcel de Jong’s cross in off the head of Quakes defender Shea Salinas.
The Earthquakes (2-5-3) are unbeaten in two games after going winless in seven. The Whitecaps are winless in their past three games and for the sixth time in their past seven.
