Quincy Amarikwa recently paid his good fortune forward.
The Earthquakes forward reportedly wrote a $2,200 check to cover two months of taxi driver Pedro Hahamian’s mortgage after the two struck up conversation en route to Amarikwa’s destination.
“If there’s a way that you can help someone, you need to find a way to to do that,” Amarikwa told NBC Bay Area’s Garvin Thomas. “I’m a firm believer of what you project out in the world is what you’ll receive back 10-fold. Don’t just say it, do it.”
So when Amarikwa arrived in Las Vegas for a marketing convention and snagged a ride from Hahamian, a lifelong soccer fan who didn’t know he was driving a pro athlete, Amarikwa had a chance to put his money where his mouth was.
