SAN JOSE, Calif. – San Jose Earthquakes midfielder Marc Pelosi successfully underwent a procedure to resolve chronic tendinitis in his left knee on Friday afternoon. The surgery was performed by Dr. Akizuki in San Francisco and is expected to keep him out three to four months.
Pelosi, 21, signed with San Jose on July 17, 2015 and appeared in 12 games, making seven starts, last season. He earned his first call-up to the U.S. National Team during the January Camp in 2015 and earned a subsequent call-up to the January Camp this year, although he was unable to attend due to injury.
