Host Chicago never trailed, scoring once in each half en route to a 2-1 victory over the Earthquakes at Toyota Park. The Quakes (2-8-3, 9 points) avoided a second straight shutout defeat but still saw their losing streak hit three.
They also slipped to 1-5-2 away from Avaya Stadium and remain mired near the bottom of the MLS Western Conference. Chicago (5-7-2, 17 points) now has two wins in its last three games.
