April 3, 2001 - Signed Ramiro Corrales to a multi-year contract
The Earthquakes signed midfielder/defender Ramiro Corrales to a multi-year contract. An Earthquakes Hall-of-Famer, Corrales is second in the club's all-time records in games played (250), starts (228) and minutes played (20,188) behind Chris Wondolowski. The Salinas, Calif. native led the Quakes to two MLS Cups (2001 and 2003), as well as the club's second MLS Supporter's Shield (2012).
