SAN JOSE — After signing two Central Americans, the Earthquakes have turned to Europe for their next big moves before the start of the 2017 season.
Forward Danny Hoesen of the Netherlands will join the team on a one-year loan with an option to buy, FC Groningen general director Hans Nijland said on the team’s website. The Quakes haven’t announced the deal, but general manager Jesse Fioranelli is tentatively scheduled to talk to reporters Thursday.
Hoesen’s former team announced the move Tuesday when Nijland said, “The transition of Danny Hoesen to the San Jose Earthquakes in America is final.
