The San Jose Earthquakes have become so adept at pulling out incredible comeback finishes in recent years that the latest one probably feels a bit ho-hum compared to the rest of the pile, but heads were certainly turned nationally when they came from 3-1 down to beat the Vancouver Whitecaps 4-3 Wednesday in the MLS is Back Tournament.
The two longest-tenured players on the roster, Chris Wondolowski and Shea Salinas, each came off the bench and scored in the furious rally, capped off with Salinas’ 98th-minute winner.
