On Aug. 8, 2018, the United States U-15 Girls’ National Team suffered a 2-0 loss to Portugal in their second match of the U-15 CONCACAF Championship. The U.S. struggled to find their footing in the match after conceding a pair of penalty kicks in the first half. The U-15s now need a win in their next match against El Salvador in order to punch their ticket to the semifinals.
Earthquakes Academy players Elise Evans, Yuna McCormack and America Frias all featured against Portugal. Evans started for the U.S. at center back and would play 51 minutes before being subbed off for attacking reinforcements.
