COMMERCE CITY, Colo.– On the first day of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Spring Showcase, the San Jose Earthquakes U-15 Girls got things started the only way they know how; with an emphatic win. The Quakes, ranked No. 1 in the nation, recovered from a 2-1 deficit and defeated North Carolina’s Charlotte Soccer Academy (No. 13) 7-2.
Quakes players Jasmine Aikey and Mailin Orozco both scored three goals in the match, leading the U-15s to victory. Aikey and Orozco tallied their hat-tricks in a 39-minute span and a 32-minute span, respectively. U-15 forward and UCLA commit America Frias also featured on the scoresheet as she continues to lead the Quakes with 22 goals in the 2018-19 season.
