15 in 15 | Avaya Stadium Ribbon Cutting

On February 27, the Earthquakes officially opened Avaya Stadium with a ribbon-cutting ceremony 40 years in the making. Among the speakers were Earthquakes President Dave Kaval, San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo and the CEO (Kevin Kennedy) and CMO (Andy Cunningham) of Avaya. The ceremony drew a large contingent of media and corporate partners, as the $100 million stadium was opened for business.

The Quakes brand-new, 18,000 stadium is the first cloud-enabled stadium in MLS. It boasts an interactive fan engagement wall that aggregates social media content, the team schedule and upcoming stadium events.

The stadium's Wi-Fi ensures uninterrupted gameday experiences.
