Catcher Gary Sánchez hit a grand slam in a 5-run 5th and that spoiled starter Derek Holland's outing this afternoon in San Francisco. Behind 6-0 in the 9th the Giants rallied for four runs before succumbing to Aroldis Chapman. At least they showed some life and didn't get shut out. Yangervis Solarte and Erik Kratz hit the late homers. Trevor Gott and Travis Bergen each threw two scoreless innings in relief of Holland.
The Bombers are making the local lads look like a not-ready-for-prime-time outfit. It feels like the 70s when the Dodgers would come to Candlestick and slap the Giants around with impunity.
