On Thursday, Donald Trump became the first former president in the history of the United States to be found guilty of felony crimes.
But perhaps his original sin, at least among petty baseball fans, was supporting the New York Yankees.
Coincidentally, the Yankees face the San Francisco Giants on Friday night, one day after Trump was found guilty in a New York courtroom of financial crimes related to a payment made to an adult film actor in the waning days of the 2016 campaign. The game is a reminder of a different one of Trump’s would-be transactions: He reportedly inquired about purchasing the Giants back in the 1980s.
