Fans of the San Francisco Giants were treated Friday to the sort of power display they very nearly missed out on, thanks to New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge’s dominant performance.
Judge went 3-for-4 with two homers in the Yankees win, bringing his league-leading home run total to 20.
The game was extra disappointing for the San Francisco crowd because Judge, who hails from Northern California and grew up a Giants fan, came agonizingly close to signing with the team a couple years ago.
Any Giants fans watching on the YES Network had to relive one of the more traumatic moments of the team’s recent history when the broadcast brought up the “Arson Judge” fiasco of 2022.
