SANTA CRUZ -- Andrea Duncan, a 61-year-old friend of injured Giants fan Bryan Stow, is headed to Spain on Friday for the longest walk of her life.
She will participate in the Camino de Santiago, a 500-mile pilgrimage across northern Spain that leads to St. James' burial site. James was the first martyr of Christ's apostles. His remains were taken from Jerusalem to Spain. Thousands of people participate in the annual walk to pay tribute to St. James and to tour the Spanish countryside. The journey can take 40 to 50 days with stops at churches and landmarks along the way.
