SAN FRANCISCO -- Mac Williamson continued to swing the big bat for the Giants on Monday night.
Williamson, who began the season with Triple-A Sacramento but earned a recall to the Majors with his torrid hitting, smashed his second home run in 14 at-bats since his promotion when he crushed Washington reliever Shawn Kelley's first pitch in the sixth inning over the right-center-field barrier. Williamson's smash traveled a projected 464 feet, according to Statcast™, and widened San Francisco's lead over the Nationals to 4-1.
Williamson's blast was the second-longest Giants homer in Statcast™ history behind Brandon Belt's 475-foot homer on May 22, 2015.
