SAN FRANCISCO -- The Giants' major priority Friday was to run outfielder Mac Williamson through a variety of tests to determine whether he can rejoin the lineup or should be placed on the seven-day concussion disabled list.
As part of baseball's concussion protocol, Williamson took batting practice and performed other baseball-related activities. Giants manager Bruce Bochy said Williamson would rejoin the lineup for at least one of Saturday's day-night doubleheader games against the Dodgers if he could respond to the activities without complications.
Otherwise, Williamson will have to be sidelined, resulting from a collision with the wall near the Giants' bullpen as he chased a fly ball Wednesday night.
