SAN DIEGO - I caught up with Terry Collins to ask about Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford’s omission from the All-Star Game.
“One of the many who should be here and is not here,” said Collins, the National League manager.
Collins revealed something that helped explain why he chose the players he did. To review, fans voted Cubs shortstop Addison Russell to start the game, and Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager was added to the team by virtue of the players’ vote.
Collins said the second-place finisher in the player vote was Colorado’s Trevor Story, not Crawford.
