Which Giants players are next in line to have their jersey numbers retired?

SAN FRANCISCO — Of the 10 numbers the San Francisco Giants have chosen to retire, nine belong to players with Hall of Fame plaques.

Barry Bonds is the lone former Giant immortalized in San Francisco who has yet to be recognized in Cooperstown, but he’ll soon have company.

During a pregame ceremony on Sunday, Giants CEO Larry Baer announced that legendary first baseman Will Clark will have his No. 22 taken out of circulation.

“It’s absolutely unbelievable,” Clark said. “It’s something I will never forget. And it is my Hall of Fame.”

In the coming years, Clark may not be the only former Giants player expressing that sentiment.
