Never have the words "the deal is pending a physical" carried such a heavy load. Carlos Correa has agreed to his third free agent deal of the winter, this time with the Minnesota Twins, according to an ESPN report.
Here's where the news really stings for Correa and agent Scott Boras. After reported 13-year/$350 million and 12-year/$315 million agreements with the Giants and New York Mets, respectively, fell through over concerns about the shortstop's ankle, the reported agreement is for a mere six years and $200 million.
In other words, whatever those teams saw in Correa's ankle ended up costing him well over $100 million, and as much as $150 million.
