While Giants broadcasters Duane Kuiper and Mike Krukow cherish Father's Day now, the holiday wasn't always a big deal in their household.
Growing up in the 1950's and 1960's, their respective father's weren't keen on celebrating the holiday.
"Father's Day, when I was a kid, wasn't a big deal," Krukow said recently. "Mother's Day was. And my old man, he kind of rolled with it. It's kind of gone into the same mode since I've become a dad. But I do remember when I was a kid, my dad was a big guy, 6-foot-3, about 300 pounds, and I was just proud to walk with the old man.
