Good morning, baseball fans!
Yesterday, it was reported that the San Francisco Giants were in agreement with Jordan Hicks on a four-year, $44 million deal.
It was a bit of an unexpected signing, with the Giants reportedly planning to have Hicks join the rotation as a starter, despite primarily having pitched in relief for the majority of his career.
As Brady pointed out in his post about it yesterday (linked above) Hicks began his career as a starter, and briefly had a return to that role in 2022 that did not go well.
