The San Francisco Giants haven’t done a whole lot of winning lately. And they haven’t exactly been making splashes in free agency. And for that matter, their recent hiring of manager Gabe Kapler was questionable, to put it very, very lightly.
But it’s not all bad. I promise! You just might have to peel off the first few layers of the onion before you get to the good stuff.
According to Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area, team employee Abe Silvestri was recently awarded as Visiting Clubhouse Manager of the Year, an award voted on by his peers.
