There’s not a lot of good news for the San Francisco Giants these days. They did the opposite of what we asked them to do, and lost four of their first five games out of the All-Star break, pushing themselves closer to the “sell” button as the trade deadline approaches.
But there is at least some good news: Robbie Ray is making his return tonight, bringing the rotation closer to full health. It will be Ray’s first game as a Giant, and his first time pitching in an MLB game since March 31, 2023, when he suffered an injury in the second game of the Seattle Mariners’ season, and underwent Tommy John surgery.
