The San Francisco Giants don’t have a lot of margin for error as they try to climb out of the hole they dug themselves over the first few months of the season and get into postseason contention. And that margin for error just got a lot smaller.
Shortly before Tuesday’s game against the Chicago White Sox, the Giants announced that catcher Patrick Bailey had been placed on the 10-Day Injured List (retroactive to Monday) with a right oblique strain. Taking his place on the roster is catcher Jakson Reetz, who was recalled from AAA Sacramento.
